I opt for 'mapping.py' (stumbled over value_mapping) or as the file is pretty long a folder 'mapping' and extracting things - maybe into rules.py (Rule, MappingRules) constants.py (..) and buffer.py?

Why are you removing this?
Can' the grid manager tell us the queue name when starting the brick? This way we do no have to remember where the naming rule is implemented and the two implementations can not accidently drift apart: https://git.industrial-devops.org/sl/flowengine-go/-/blob/rabbitmq/internal/app/gridmanager/rmq/rmq.go
brick.py got pretty long (EnvBuilder, BaseDef, InstanceDef..), consider extracting the connection related classes into a seperate file
As we anyway introduce major changes, wouldn't it be a good opportunity to deprecate this?
